Yoga offers many techniques to bring our system back into balance. Utilizing slower more deliberate movements and postures that allow us to linger longer can help support the nervous system to shift back into its rest and digest mode. As this shift happens in our bodies, a softening occurs, and chronic tension begins to melt away leaving us feeling restored.
This special class will be a deep unwinding of tension, tightness, and stress. We will begin with a slower paced asana practice, somatic movements and then move into longer held yin and restorative postures. The class will end with a healing meditation. The late summer is the perfect time for this practice.
Erika is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher and teacher trainer. Her classes are thoughtful and inspiring combinations of alignment, flow, breath, philosophy and playfulness. Erika is strongly influenced by the YogaWorks method where she taught for 12+ years.
